This sterling silver cuff bangle is hand crafted using a reticulation technique which allows me to create unique textures on the surface of the metal. As a result, each piece is truly unique.
Reticulation involves heating and quenching the silver up to ten times to oxidise the copper alloy at the surface, then pickling it to remove the oxide and leave a thin layer of pure silver. The process - also known as depletion gilding - results in the the surface and the interior of the metal melting at different temperatures which results in a wrinkled surface.
The bangle is 2.5cm wide but can be made in other sizes. Please contact me for a quote.
This item is made to order and will be ready for despatch in approximately 3 weeks from date of order.
The bangle is hallmarked at the Goldsmith's Company Assay Office with all legally required marks and my own maker's mark.
All jewellery is presented in our signature gift box and comes with care instructions and polishing cloth.
